With winds and showers the surf was inconsistent.  However, last Sat.  (6-23) afternoon several friends caught their limits of trout and reds on live croakers in the second gut on an out going tide.

The surf was too rough for topwaters.  I was not able to join the festivities due to a malfunctioning toilet in my RV....had to go to Corpus to get a new one.

We fished East Flats, Quarantine Shore and the backside of San Jose Island on Fri. (6-22) but only caught undersized trout, reds and a flounder on live shrimp under popping corks....no keepers.  Nothing even touched our live croakers in the bays.  I heard numerous similar reports.

No Kings off the Jetties yet.  Wonder if the Fresh water is a factor?
