 Tarpon are in the Corpus Christi ship channel, as I type this. Its 5:51 PM on sunday september 16th. Get in your boat and from the marina head towards the piper channel. If you miss the school of tarpon, you are blind. They are literally jumping out of the water. Good luck.

Nathan,
I saw them too...they were directly across the channel from the Charlie's Pasture Pier, against the metal bulkhead, down from the Harbor Island Ferry Landing.  There were some nice one's in there too.  They really looked spectacular with their silver sides shining in the rising sun. 

I saw two boats stop to gawk at them but nobody tried 'em.  I guess they didn't have the right tackle.  Wish I had a boat.
