I am planning on going to Port A this coming weekend, Grin where is the hotspot and what is the best bait of choice for this cooler weather. Undecided

Mud minnows are a great cold weather bait. The channel has been the place to fish for the last three weeks. The surf has also been good, but if the wind is blowing hard it's not worth it. tight lines

well I guess all of the fish were at the Texas State Aqurium this past weekend. Fishing went as follows:
Fished the Mangroves=0
Fished the Surf=0
Fished the Jetties=0
Charlies Pasture=0
Fished the channel=0
Baits used, Live mud minnows, Live shrimp, Live shad, dead shrimp, dead menhaden, cutbait and nada, nothing, zilch. I even went to sleep on the rocks of the jetties on the bay side for a while, and I reeled in my two rods, the live minnow and live shrimp were ,...............well still alive Bonkers. Well thats the fishing report for my side of the story.Capt Hardhead signing off..
