Hello everyone,

I will be in Port Aransas next week with my kids and parents. I wanted to take them crabbing, like my parents did with me when I was little. My mom would take me to the rock jetty (out into the gulf) with a net and chicken necks. Is this still a good spot to go? Does anyone know of a better place? The research I have been able to do says that a good spot is the pier next to Snoopy's restaurant between Corpus and Port A. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I will just have a 1 day license, so I am trying to minimize trying 20 different places in a day.

Pretty much anywhere is good for blue crab but for Stone Crab? Good luck. Please make sure any crabs caught are to legal size. I see people keeping crabs that are so small and don't care. Years ago blue crab used to be abundant,you would see them everywhere and large ones at that, Now, few and far between...
