I went fly fishing in Port A this weekend. I usually fish from the shore, so the wind from the east didn't help much.
At night, I caught several keeper trout at Charlie's Pasture. For fly fishing, the jetty wasn't as productive as recent weekends. I know this isn't something to brag about, but I caught ladyfish for about an hour and a half. It's allot of fun catching the 20inch plus ones, off the jetty. I left my camera in Port A, so I'll post the pictures when I get it back.

Hey Nathan,

I was there this weekend as well.  Caught a 27" Red off the Jetties and that was about it.  I only fished hard on Sunday Morning.  I did hit Charlies Pasteur on Sat night, but caught nothing.

Strange thing, I can't get a Spanny Mac on a fly this year?  They just don;t seem to be willing?  Are they still around?

I lost my camera in the water off the Jetties....time to buy a new one!

I went to Charlie's Pasture on Friday, Sat. and Sun mornings with no luck what-so-ever.  I threw every variation of top water I had in my box with not even one blow-up or strike.  On a high note I did see a very large (pushing 40 inches) Red get stranded as a ship passed through the channel.  I think the wind and tides were the problem.

I'm coming back on Thurs. June 21.  Hopefully conditions will be better and will allow for some surf fishing.
