A  friend of mine asked me what is "Sea lice" . I told  him ,that was bait used for fishing and that all the Bait shops are calling it " Sea lice".  I advised him the correct name was "Squilla Mantis Shrimp" or Squilla,  AKA " Sea Lice".   Just for your info.

There is no "body" to it when raw. It is *extremely* difficult to
extract a decent looking meat piece. Mantis shrimps are extremely
active, fast, and very flexible in nature. This means the muscles are
deeply embedded in the every nook and cranny of the mantis shrimp tail.
So when you try to extract fresh meat you end up with an ugly lump of
macerated meat. The taste of raw mantis shrimp is non-descript, kinda
like raw crab meat.

-Cooked mantis shrimp helps the extraction process since it is more
solid to work with. But next time you have the mantis shrimp at a sushi
bar, observe the cooked meat topping. They are not as clean cut as a
cooked shrimp.
